LEARNING LOG # 6

Last learning log! For the last week before the final exam, the last task to us is to make a video tutorial of what we have presented in the front of the class last week. We will make a Nagios XI video tutorial and I hope it will help to make our grade higher HAHA. I just want to share my whole DNETCOM experience. It was fun tho. Although I had a hard time on the whole course, I enjoyed it. I learned a lot.

LEARNING LOG # 5

This week, sir asked us to do a presentation of how the features of the given software to us -- which is the Nagios XI -- is working and how users make it work. We also discussed the different features, how should we use it, what is it for, why is there a feature like that and more. Luckily, we did it very well (I think) though I admit that I had a hard time learning those features. I had to watch several video tutorials in youtube to be able to show how that specific feature work and showed it at the front of the class. I was very nervous because I'm the one who gives an introduction on what will we present and what Nagios XI is and what is it for. I think our prof gave us a high grade there because it looks like (ehem) we did it.

LEARNING LOG # 4

We only have 2 weeks before finals and everyone is busy about our proposals and presentations for our final project in DNETCOM. Honestly, I'm a bit of nervous for the finals in DNETCOM because I'm not really into this kind of topics, lol. But still, I enjoy every lesson in this subject. Nagios is what sir assigned to our group for our final project, we're still working for it though it's too hard to make it work. We had to watch many tutorials on youtube on how to use Nagios. We exerted so much effort and time for this. We hope that our very kind professor will give us a high grade because we will try our best to present it in our class and make it work properly.

LEARNING LOG # 3

It's already finals. Midterm have passed. Honestly, this course -- DNETCOM -- is still challenging for me. But before anything else, I would like to thank our prof, Sir Justin!!!! Hahaha. Thank you for a high grade though you also know that I'm having a hard time in this course. But I tried my best during the midterms and I am still trying my best this finals. Things may be hard for some (like me lol) but the whole block is surely having fun during DNETCOM time, not only because it's not that stressful, but also, we can talk comfortably with the prof (sipsip HAHA). We are now busy with some final projects so that we will retain our grade here or better, make it higher (advance thank you, sir) hahaha. Hope to learn more on the next weeks!!

LEARNING LOG # 2

This week, we began using packet tracer by cisco--- a powerful network simulation program that allows students to experiment with network behavior. Our professor taught us how to use this application software and he made us do some exercises that will be using this application software. Though the subject Data Networks is still difficult for me (i hope that i'm just adjusting lol), it's still fun because i still get to learn new things every meeting. I hope to learn more and to understand the subject on the next meetings.

LEARNING LOG # 1

I didn't expect that I will learn many things during the first week of the class. I thought that our Prof will just give a brief introduction about the course. But he didn't . He said that data networks and datacom are actually different subjects but it was merged in so he have to squeeze it all. I was grateful to have a Prof who can explain things well. Though I'm not really a fan of networks (yes, I don't like my course), I still can understand the lessons discussed. But of course, squeezed and rushed lessons are equal to squeezed stress also. Hope to learn more about the subject in the next weeks. :)
